Friends are some of the most important people in life. The benefit of being a photographer is that I get to be the archivist of all our lives. These are a few of my friends, with the help of some great light.
The Fuji XPro1 is apparently an awesome night photography camera. I took these with the 18mm F2, all handheld, using Auto ISO, and I processed them in vscofilm. I’m going to have to do some serious saving because my Gear Acquisition Syndrome (GAS) is hitting heavy. We’ve had such a beautiful weekend here in Astoria too! This is one of the best times to be in NYC because the temperatures are in the 60s and 70s, and it’s not yet too humid.
I’ve always been attracted to photographing at night due to the inherent drama set by the street lights, but I haven’t had opportunity to practice it in years. Maybe this camera will allow me to explore a little more, while not calling too much attention to myself. That in itself is a priceless quality when attached to a camera.
Hanging out in NYC with the awesome photographer Daniel Norton. I got to play with his Fuji X-Pro1 that day. These are the pictures from the Canon with the 50mm 1.4 Planar. I still have yet to find a lens that I like more than a Zeiss lens.
Took the Fuji X-Pro1 out for a couple hours today. It had a great feel. A little quirky but I see one in my future. Not exactly a replacement of my Zeiss lenses for Canon, but an extremely capable tool in it’s own right.
