Fatty’s Cafe with my life long friend Kate! Shot all this with an EOS-1, a Zeiss 35mm 2.0, and some Kodak Portra.
The Fuji XPro1 is apparently an awesome night photography camera. I took these with the 18mm F2, all handheld, using Auto ISO, and I processed them in vscofilm. I’m going to have to do some serious saving because my Gear Acquisition Syndrome (GAS) is hitting heavy. We’ve had such a beautiful weekend here in Astoria too! This is one of the best times to be in NYC because the temperatures are in the 60s and 70s, and it’s not yet too humid.
I’ve always been attracted to photographing at night due to the inherent drama set by the street lights, but I haven’t had opportunity to practice it in years. Maybe this camera will allow me to explore a little more, while not calling too much attention to myself. That in itself is a priceless quality when attached to a camera.
Did my daily Sunday commute today. I’m still confused about how much I should be eating when I do this. I track calories burned with my Polar heart rate monitor, and I’ve been told that’s supposed to be pretty accurate. I also use Map My Ride to track my other riding data, like speed, times, etc. Then I keep as close to a calorie record as possible in the Map My Ride system. I also enter the kcals burned straight from my heart rate monitor. According to this I should have 3000 calories remaining for the day, to make a 2200 calorie day. My daily goal is less than that, so lets say I have 2000 calories left… BUT THAT DOESN’T SEEM RIGHT TO ME! Like according to this I should be able to eat a full pizza and still lose weight…I know that can’t be true right?! I’m going to try and eat light all the same, but if someone can clarify how I should handle this that would be great.
And yes I take pictures with my phone while I ride…what of it?!
